Hey, I got my funny stories podcast/blog working for reals! This week, in Laughing Into My Hat, it's the infamous Year 2000 dinner party story. Yay!
Effectivism is also up and running pretty well, and several folks have either contributed or are about to contribute. If you want to contribute or you have any topics you want covered, let me know. This week, I've blogged about:

I just launched three new domains! Wooo!
laurenaschmidt.com is just a static "this is my public face" type page.
Effectivism is my blog about how to make a quantifiable difference in the world (whether your motives are, like mine, being a lazy activist, or just doing a more effective job spending your time and money and energy in general).
Laughing Into My Hat is a blog/podcast where I tell funny stories about my life, in both written and podcast form. Unfortunately, this one has no real content yet due to some technical difficulties on my part, including lack of good podcasting equipment. I'm pondering buying this which seems like slight overkill for my needs, but which also seems to be an incredibly good deal and well-reviewed compared to a lot of mics and such that I've been looking at. (Other recommendations are also welcome.) But anyway, I need to get some kind of decent sound input device; the headset that I tried recording on sounded wretched. Still, as soon as I can: funny stories! Yay! I'll keep you posted. |

Hmm! I just realized that I think I have enough credit card points + frequent flyer miles saved up to make a couple free trips to NYC or Boston. That's pretty exciting. :) I must keep this in mind for later, although I think I won't do anything about it until the weather is warmer! |
